A recruiter first emailed me regarding the job description and the company, and we discussed more on the phone. A couple of days later, I had a phone call with the engineering director and was invited onsite.
The first onsite was the technical part. The first two interviewers were both from Facebook, and the rest were also equally impressive. Two coding sections were fair and nothing too outrageous – they just need to make sure you can code as well as advertised on your resume. The design part could be tricky, but if you have a good understanding of your tech stack, you should be fine. Obviously, you've got to know what you did according to your resume, and they drilled hard on that prospective.
The second onsite invite came shortly after the first onsite and was scheduled a week or so later. I met with the VP of Engineering and CEO. Also, there were multiple teams that might be a good fit, so I met with some other teams and their members.
The recruiter was probably the most friendly and professional person I've had the pleasure of working with throughout my career. Interviews are always a drag and not fun at all, but this experience was wonderful, for lack of a better word.
I had a couple of offers from public companies and decided to join Roblox, partly thanks to their super competitive offer, but largely due to their super friendly and high-caliber colleagues, and the fact that they are eager to have you join the journey. At the end of the day, a job is made of paychecks, but it is not paychecks, but teamwork, that defines your career.
Basic algo and DS questions.
Nothing too complex.
Some simple tree and DP questions.
Design questions could be tricky, but if you know your fundamentals, you should be fine.
