Extremely bad experience with the recruiter ghosting and then reaching back out, only to ghost a second time. The recruiter contacted me in early February about multiple roles, specifically QA Coordinator on the console team.
The interview was scheduled during the time of the layoffs, which was a very difficult period. The recruiter was aware of this and promised to expedite the process.
The first interview was set up within a week. The interview went great and consisted mostly of experience, resume, and behavioral-based questions. However, after the interview, the recruiter ghosted me for a month.
Following multiple follow-ups, the recruiter eventually responded in mid-March, stating I was not considered for the role due to a lack of console QA experience. However, another team liked my profile and was interested in speaking with me.
The recruiter then set up another interview, this time for the communications team. This interview was similar in nature to the first round and also went well. The recruiter ghosted me again.
I attempted to follow up in April and May, but received no response from the recruiter. Throughout this entire period, the roles remained open. All that was required was for the recruiter to inform me of the selection decision, but the recruiters at Roblox were unable to do so.
