So I interviewed at Rubrik for Winter intern 2026. The process began by applying through an online source. Then I received an interest form from Rubrik. The day I received the interest form, I filled it out, and on the same day, I received an invitation for a webinar.
Recruitment Stages:
Resume Shortlisting: Crafting my resume to highlight strong foundations in DSA, competitive programming (CP), and impactful projects played a key role in advancing to the next stage.
Online Assessment (HackerRank): The test included 4 challenging DSA-based problems with a CP-oriented approach, designed to test analytical and problem-solving skills under time pressure ⏱. It was a 90-minute test, and I managed to solve 3 out of 4 problems. I was pleasantly surprised to get an interview opportunity!!
Online Interview Rounds:
The interviews began with brief introductions and quickly moved into deep DSA discussions. Across all rounds, the focus remained on advanced DSA concepts, especially graphs and trees, with questions tailored for competitive programmers.
One of the rounds included a challenging problem based on meeting scheduling with bucket optimization – a perfect blend of logic and optimization techniques.
