I was contacted on LinkedIn by the recruiter. The process started with a phone interview, followed by the onsite round.
A few days after my on-sites, I was informed that there was one more step where I would need to talk to the CTO. I submitted my availability to the recruiter. After 2-3 days, the recruiter emailed me, saying they were still working with the CTO to find a common time.
That was it. There was no further communication from them, despite me checking back a couple of times over the next 5-6 days. After that, I received other offers (Google, Facebook, and two other startups), and I decided to cross Rubrik off my list.
I just cannot believe the incompetence of their hiring process. If the CTO doesn't have time to talk to me, just send someone else. I never demanded to talk to the CTO anyway. If they found someone better than me, just let me know.
In any case, my suggestion is: stay away. They aren't that good anyway, and the Bay Area is full of options.
Standard questions. If you can solve LeetCode Medium/Hard and have CS basics good, you are all set.
