I invested a significant amount of time in Rubrik’s interview process, completing 7 rounds in total. During the initial 5 rounds, I received positive feedback, so it was surprising and confusing to learn that another candidate was ultimately chosen.
In addition, I had an interview with another team (referred to as "B team") that appeared disinterested. I was unexpectedly given a coding interview, despite being informed that this team wouldn’t require one. When I encountered some technical difficulties during the interview, I was told it was an unusual occurrence, but I wasn’t given the opportunity to explain. This inconsistency and lack of clarity throughout the process was frustrating.
After dedicating considerable time and effort, it was disappointing not to be given a chance to work with the company. While I’m unsure of the exact standards Rubrik is seeking, I believe I am a strong candidate and expected more transparent communication during the selection process.
Based on these experiences, I am left confused by the hiring process and how candidates are selected. I wish Rubrik the best in their future candidate search.
