The hiring and interview process at Salesforce was one of the best that I have experienced.
It started with an informal informational interview that was set up by a mutual contact who works there. She informed the team that I was in the process of receiving an offer from a competing company. As a result, the recruiting team was able to pull a round of in-person interviews together within the week.
The interview process was pretty standard. It was a full day of one-on-one interviews, an hour each, all taking place in the same conference room. Three of the interviews were conducted via video conferencing with team members who were either remote or offsite. Everyone was very friendly and seemed to enjoy working for Salesforce.
The office atmosphere was pretty amazing. It was an open concept that sits at the top of one of the towers in the area, offering great views of the mountains and the lake. There is also a terrace where people can work outside. A coffee bar rotates in a different local coffee company and is all complimentary. The dress code seemed pretty casual, and the office was very clean.
An offer was extended to me that exceeded the initial offer received from the competing company. The stock plan rivals what you find at similar companies in the industry.
Tell me the most significant thing you have done in your career.
