Database Engineer Interview Experience - Singapore, Singapore

Process

I recommend candidates not to waste your time by applying for the Database Engineer job at this company, as I am really unsure about the interview process I attended a few months ago.

My understanding or assumption is that only references matter, but I'm not sure exactly what that entails.

I have around 10+ years of experience, including work at Oracle Corporation and banking experience, but I didn't get shortlisted (even though I did well). It's up to the company's wish and the hiring manager, and I have nothing to comment about it.

A strange part is this: One example is that I received an update during my today's shift that an MSSQL DBA who worked at my company two years ago is currently working as an Oracle DBA at Salesforce. Most of the people in the shift are having different issues with their interview process, and it looks to me that it's all just for paperwork. This makes me think and feel that my time was wasted.

Hence, my request to job seekers: Don't expect or waste your precious time. Apply only if you have a reference.
