Process

I have interviewed for Facebook, Google, and Amazon multiple times, but this was by far the best interview experience I have ever had. All thanks to my awesome recruiter, Clarice Nesbitt. She was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the process. She goes beyond the responsibilities of a recruiter to ensure the candidate has the best possible experience.

  • She worked hard with me on finding a better-suited team and job profile, even though this was a position I had applied to myself. I have had very negative reactions from recruiters when I have asked if there is another, slightly different, position available in the organization that I can interview for. After that, I was very comfortable asking her questions about the current role, what other teams are looking for right now, how the process changes if I am interested in a different team, and how to prepare for my next round.
  • Her replies were spontaneous and always encouraging, prompting me to ask if I had more questions.
  • I am an international student, so I have complex immigration processes that needed to be handled in a timely manner. She understood this and worked on them proactively.
  • She sent me a "Good luck" email before my final onsite round. No other recruiter has done that before.
  • After I had cleared the interview, she worked with me to get me the best offer I could have hoped for.
  • Even after the offer letter, she worked amazingly fast to make any small changes to my offer or answer any questions I had. I was looking at a response time of 15 minutes to 1 hour, and that too during non-working hours!

The interview process:

  1. Applied through Salesforce's career page, as I was specifically looking to interview at Salesforce.
  2. Received a response from Clarice two days after my application.
  3. The first round was a 120-minute coding challenge that tested front-end skills.
  4. The second round was a video call with an MTS on the team I was interviewing for.
  5. Questions were on the solution I submitted, as well as on Java and JavaScript.
  6. A rigorous onsite interview consisting of 6 half-hour rounds and one 1-hour round (lunch included).
  7. I was informed that I cleared the interview the next morning.
  8. Offer negotiations and formal approvals took 3-4 days.

From step 1 to 8 took about 3 weeks, which I could have reduced to 2 weeks if I had wanted to.
