Lead Software Engineer - Customer Centric Engineering Interview Experience - Tokyo, Japan

February 11, 2022
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The interview process is 6 rounds:

  1. HR Interview
  2. Hiring Manager Interview
  3. HackerRank Aloha Test
  4. Live Coding round
  5. Live Coding round
  6. Director round

This is sugarcoated for a software engineer role, but in reality, it is a full customer support position.

If you are looking for software development roles, I recommend staying away from this position.

Questions

Very basic coding problems. If you can solve LeetCode medium, this interview is a piece of cake.

The difficult part is they want someone who can speak N1 level Japanese.

So, don't waste time applying because they will suddenly ask for 5-6 rounds to be conducted entirely in Japanese.
