Process

A very well-defined process with three rounds of interviews:

  1. Technical Phone Screen (30 minutes): This interview focuses on basic JavaScript, Java, HTML, and CSS concepts. Expect questions on topics like interfaces, creating dropdowns, the differences between String, StringBuilder, and StringBuffer, and comparators in JavaScript.

  2. Remote Programming Test: This is a programming assignment that needs to be solved and submitted within a few hours. You can use your preferred language and editor. It's not a live coding session (like on Google Docs), so you can work offline at your convenience. The expectation is for a working solution with good error handling and test cases. Practicing Linked Lists, Trees, and Graphs is recommended.

  3. On-Site Interviews (4 x 45 minutes):

    • A. Behavioral Interview: Questions will cover your motivation for joining Salesforce, descriptions of your current job, role, and experience, your desired work focus, and your career goals for the next few years. This is also a good opportunity to ask questions about the team, culture, job roles, and expectations.
    • B. Technical Interview 1 (Whiteboard Coding): You'll be asked a maximum of two questions, depending on time. This interview focuses on basic Computer Science concepts such as sorting, recursion, and tree traversal. The goal is to produce clean, efficient, working code on the whiteboard.
    • C. Technical Interview 2 (Whiteboard): This interview focuses more on applying Computer Science knowledge, particularly in designing the backend of a website or application, and REST APIs.
    • D. Technical Interview 3 (Whiteboard): This interview focuses on your past projects (from school or previous work). You'll need to describe the project's necessity, the issues it addressed, how it was implemented, how it solved the issues, and how metrics were collected. Familiarity with existing Salesforce products (Sales or Service Cloud) is expected, and you may be asked related questions.
