Software Engineer Interview Experience - Atlanta, Georgia

Process

I was referred by another employee.

First, there was a 30-minute phone screen with the hiring manager, where we discussed my background and what this role would entail.

Second, a three-hour programming challenge on HackerRank, which was by far the toughest part of the interview.

I was brought in for an onsite interview about a week later. The interview consisted of two panel interviews, each about 75 minutes long.

The interviews mainly involved discussing my past experience, some behavioral questions, and some whiteboarding exercises. There were no "gotcha" type questions.

I was offered a position the day after the interview.

Overall, a very smooth and transparent interview process.

Questions

Standard "Tell us about a time when..." behavioral questions.

Fairly simple whiteboarding questions, mostly array/string manipulation type stuff.
