Software Engineer Interview Experience - Cambridge, Massachusetts
Process
A recruiter reached out to me with an opening and scheduled me for a Google Hangouts call with two managers. The call took about an hour, during which we discussed my work experience and then tackled a coding question. They didn't require that it was fully complete and working.
Next, I was invited onsite, and they paid for my flight from DC and a hotel. I had five 1-on-1 interviews:
- Three coding/database interviews.
- Two design/behavioral interviews.
The whole team joined me for lunch during my break between interviews.
There were some picky JavaScript questions, but everything else was meant to be collaborative and could be answered in many ways.
