I met a Heroku engineer at the Ruby for Good conference and used them as a reference for the application.
The employee referral helped me get a phone screen.
After the phone screen, I had a tech-soft interview with the hiring manager (the manager of the team I was being considered for).
Next, I had two technical interviews with two members of the team I was being considered for.
Then, I had an interview with one of the VPs, where we talked a bit about the division and the company.
Last, I worked on a starter project for two days and then presented about the project to about 10 people.
