Process

I talked to an engineer from Salesforce at my college's career fair. Although I wasn't extended an on-campus interview, a recruiter contacted me in a couple of weeks, saying that a hiring manager thought I'd be a potential fit.

I had three total interviews with the Community Cloud team. My first call was with the hiring manager, who was an absolute delight to talk to. We had a good conversation about the things I'd listed on my resume. There were also some technical concept questions and a lot of useful information about his experience at Salesforce. I really enjoyed talking to him.

The next day, I was contacted by the recruiting team to schedule a couple of technical interviews with some full-time engineers. The interviews were one hour long and scheduled back to back. This round was a lot more intensive and technical. The interviews touched a wide spectrum of CS topics, from end-to-end DNS routes to software design patterns. This was followed by a Coderpad-type technical question. As long as you practice on LeetCode, it wouldn't have been too challenging. A couple of behavioral questions were also thrown into the mix towards the end.

Overall, it was a very good experience. I enjoyed it very much. The quick responsiveness of the recruiters made it a very smooth process.
