I applied through a reference.
I was initially contacted by the recruiter for a phone screen. After clearing that, they followed up with a call with the Sr. Director of the product for which the role was open.
Finally, I had an on-site interview with six different individuals (four technical, two behavioral). There were no surprises in any of those interview sessions.
Technical:
I was given a partial implementation of an AST and had to finish it.
I was given a general distributed data problem where I had to provide a good way to store relational data split across clusters.
One of the engineers asked a really complex problem that I can't recall, but after I clarified some questions, it was basically a binary search implementation. Most of my hour was spent discussing what they were looking for, and then 15-20 minutes were spent doing a BST implementation.
