Systems/Devops Engineer Interview Experience - Atlanta, Georgia
Process
After the initial recruiter call, I quickly got down to the interviews. There were two approximately one-hour phone interviews (for a remote position) with two members of the team.
The interviews were technical, but covered standard topics for this type of role.
Discussions were good regarding tools, direction, the team, and the work environment. Everything seemed to go well from my perspective.
The day after the second call, I received my rejection notice from the recruiter, stating they "decided to go in a different direction" – whatever that means.
Alas.
Questions
No particularly difficult questions. Perhaps some digging into kernel or MySQL details that I would need to consult documentation for.

I believe it allows them to achieve a level of productivity equivalent to one generated from an 80-hour work week. Also, there is always tons of food available, so watch your figure!Cons: Although engineering uses tons of open source software and tools, I wish Pardot & Salesforce ingrained it in the culture even more. Releasing official projects as open source could be done and encouraged more often.
