Technical Architect Interview Experience - Germany

Process

The interview felt very disinterested and uninspired. The interviewer obviously had no wish to conduct the interview. We didn't even complete the greetings before I knew we might as well stop right then and there.

The interviewer then made a point of obviously not bothering to look at my CV prior to the interview. The interview then consisted of going through the CV chronologically, lingering on items that dated back more than two decades, and pointedly ignoring work experience within the last two decades.

While I like to think I did my best to turn this train wreck of an interview around, it was pointless – the train had left the station before the interview had even started.

The next kicker was the interviewer's feedback, which was shared with me. In it, I was accused of not being well-prepared. Pretty rich, coming from someone who couldn't be bothered to look at a two-page CV and obviously has trouble conducting a proper interview.
