Pros

Good package: 33.6L is offered (26L + 2.6L variable + 5L stocks) for 5 years of experience without bargains. The previous package was 11 LPA.

Benefits:

  • $250 once every 3 years for purchasing wellbeing enablers.
  • 1 iPhone/3 years, same as the laptop. I got an iPhone 12.
  • 32GB RAM Mac laptop.
  • Free food.
  • Monthly 5K for wellbeing. You can buy an Apple Watch or treadmill, or use it for gym/massage or dance class expenses.
  • 15K/year for eyeglasses/lenses.
  • 7L medical insurance. I don't recall life insurance.
  • During COVID, 1 wellbeing holiday once every month.
Cons

Lot of expectations.

Long hours of work, no work-life balance. Minimum 10 hours per day.

Small teams, less than 10 per team, so it's like micromanagement.

Technically slow-paced; just entered into cloud.

Lot of dependencies on the U.S. team, so need to wait for them to come online.

No architect in the team, so you have to come up with solutions with respect to architecture as well.

Lot and lots of documentation expected, and that too perfect. It's like less time in automation, more time in documentation as they don't maintain technical writers.

To change teams, the interview will be tough, as for external teams.

Advice to Management

Reduce documentation load on employees. A strict circular needs to be sent to managers.

The organisation should also take feedback directly from employees on the project and not leave everything to managers.
