Intelligent people, amazing culture, and significant impact in a lot of exciting fields in technology. The benefits are great, and the leadership truly cares about the customers and employees.
You won't get the start-up culture some smaller companies have, and as a company grows, so does the bureaucracy. The dynamic nature of the product makes it hard to focus on innovation rather than legacy and integration.
As far as I can tell, Salesforce does a good job of hiring leadership. However, I often find that engineering managers are constantly overloaded with too much to do.
