The interview process involved regular, short HR calls, phone screening, and then on-site deep-dive interviews. Although I did not pass the phone screen, my overall impression and experience were positive.
There was one negative experience. I received conflicting information about the next steps. Initially, I was informed that the next step would be a coding interview, but it turned out to be a solution design interview instead. While this might be expected for the solution design portion, I was not asked to lead the entire system design process. Instead, I was immediately presented with a series of questions. This resulted in a less than ideal outcome, as I was unable to provide a comprehensive view of the solution or lead the topic effectively.
It was a regular system design question that required a comprehensive design with clearly articulated trade-offs.
