Process

Very friendly staffing manager who prearranged everything in a well-defined manner. The interview went well. Seems to have a good campus.

The staffing manager is a very nice person and was very amicable. They also seem to have nice engineering teams with challenging projects.

Seems to be doing well since they have a lot of interns on-site, and most of them seem to get converted to full-time.

Questions

A circuit that is neither on or off, and burns crowbar current. It was quite tricky, considering the threshold of the fanout.

Good Company but to much politics.

Pros: Fair salary. The work environment was OK. It all boils down to management. I didn't have a manager, while some people had great managers. Very good employee compensation package. Free breakfast that consists of oatmeal only, and huge, great parties.

Cons: Long hours. Travel up to 25 - 50 %. Like I said, management was not good. I worked for a small start-up, Pliant Technologies (SDD engineering), that was purchased by SanDisk. Just a different mentality, I guess.

Pros: Good compensation; you work very independently, and nobody will tell you how to do your work.

Cons: No training. Archaic work methods. Constant reorgs and reshuffling. Extremely political. Almost any activity that is spread across 3 continents. No long-term vision. This is a typical semiconductor company of selling more silicon that costs less money. The products themselves are considered fancy and unreasonably expensive packaging. It is all about moving NAND Exabytes.

Cons: No training. Archaic work methods. Constant reorgs and reshuffling. Extremely political. Almost any activity that is spread across 3 continents. No long-term vision. This is a typical semiconductor company of selling more silicon that costs less money. The products themselves are considered fancy and unreasonably expensive packaging. It is all about moving NAND Exabytes.
