Pros: The NAND department at least gave some free dinner during tapeout time.

Cons: Other engineering departments could not care less if you are working late, there is no incentive, and management is very pushy to get jobs done ASAP. Mediocre salary and no clear direction; we have had so many reorgs (2-3) and layoffs in the past few years. Rule of thumb is to expect layoffs at least once a year, followed by a new round of hirings. I guess they want to trim excess fat, but they do it often and the employees lose their morale.

Pros: People are really nice, and they have great communications.

Cons: The challenge schedule and competitive environment.

Pros: Had some nice employee interaction activities. Good brand image outside.

Cons: Hard work doesn't pay off. No appreciation. But if you are great with your boss, you'll be considered for promotion. Bottom line, they boast of zero tolerance to favoritism, but that's just an eyewash. The reality is the complete opposite. HR department is very relaxed; they don't respond to your immigration needs in a professional, timely manner. Referral system is broken. Just there for show. Employees are easily replaceable. Talent is not regarded. Very few opportunities for growth. With the WD merger, they've drawn the last straw.
