Process

PART 1: HR Interview (Approximately 15-20 minutes via call)

  • For this stage, research the job requirements (study anything you don't know) and the company's culture and objectives.

PART 2: Technical Interview (Approximately 1h30min in person)

  • Do many LeetCode/HackerRank exercises to train, according to the seniority level of the position. Ex: Internship (Beginner/Easy), Junior (Easy), Mid-level (Intermediate), Senior (Hard).
  • In my case, as it was a position in the data area, I was also asked to explain some SQL and Leader Election questions.
  • Again, be prepared to answer some technical questions about the role, creating a good summary about yourself, although this stage is really more about how you solve problems.
  • Be prepared to always seek the best code complexity and explain how to achieve it and why it is the best.

PART 3: Manager Interview (Approximately 30 minutes via call)

  • Very relaxed conversation, basically talking about yourself, nothing technical.
  • Answering questions about your current performance, but in a more personal way. Ex: How you resolve conflicts, etc.

Questions

  • What experience did I have with the technologies used in the job opening?
  • If I have ever had a conflict situation at work and how I resolved it.
  • Why use this structure in the code and why it is the best (HashMap).
