I applied to the Signavio team, and the experience was not great. Obnoxious, I'd say.
There was a HackerRank round followed by a tedious coding exercise. My solution was rejected for the lamest of reasons.
Whoever assessed my solution had zero understanding of how to curate a proper coding challenge, nor how to write a proper README outlining what the expected solution should look like.
But then I realized it's impossible to please idiots and moved on.
To the recruiter: Be clearer in your discourse. And don't be in a hurry to reject someone.
The candidate should be presented with the best opportunity to succeed, not to fail!
