Cons: Almost everything used at SAP, at least in my team and department, is proprietary. This means you will become out of date with current technologies, making it really hard to switch companies or even jobs inside the company. Managers are completely out of date with current technologies and prefer doing things the old way. A promotion will take years, and normally, people are promoted based on their relationship with their managers. Code is extremely bad, and there is no accountability. Some senior programmers who have been in the company for years are extremely condescending and even aggressive if you question their methods. Most people working here have been in the company for more than 7 years. Although this may seem like a good thing, it actually makes innovation and change really hard.
