Pros: - Flexible work and great benefits make it ideal for people with family commitments and expenses.
- A stable and growing core business ensures strong job security, even in an unstable market.
- Friendly colleagues and a chill culture create a relaxing work environment, though bad apples exist.
- Plenty of self-driven growth opportunities exist, but you have to seek them out.
Cons: - Some projects use a proprietary tech stack, which makes it hard to transfer skills elsewhere.
- Constant trend-chasing leads to unstable priorities and throwaway projects.
- Lack of accountability lets political players thrive and block real progress.
- Weak engineering culture and practices are due to long-timers and a lack of strong external hires.
