Interview for a co-op/intern position in Vancouver.
It was around an hour online.
I interviewed for two teams at the same time, so one software developer from each team was present. The interview was pretty standard.
Questions
The first part was a behavioral interview. Questions included:
- Describe a software project you were proud of.
- What are the latest tech trends in the industry that you are interested in?
- Describe an instance where you had to resolve a difficult situation.
The second part was an easy LeetCode assessment. My questions were:
- FizzBuzz
- Convert a valid string to an integer (implement Integer.parseInt).

Pros: Office location in Yaletown, good benefits, interesting product.
Cons: Head office in Germany calls the shots. There is not much product management talent in Vancouver, a lack of product vision and strategy. Vancouver is treated like a development sweatshop.
