Sr. Software Engineer Interview Experience - Palo Alto, California

December 1, 2016
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The interview process consisted of 5 rounds of 1-on-1 interviews. These included:

  • Four algorithm whiteboard questions
  • Questions related to a project you completed
  • Behavioral questions

The interviewers were very unprofessional. I wrote the algorithm on the whiteboard, but it was ridiculous that one interviewer didn't understand my solution at all, even with explanations. Another interviewer did not fully understand the answer and insisted that it was incorrect.

I am so disappointed with the interview experience at SAP Palo Alto. Even if they extended an offer, I would reject it. The reason I don't want to work with this kind of team is that the members were not nice, not capable, and not professional.

Questions

Permutation, palindrome. Nothing difficult or special.
