Mobile Developer Interview Experience - Toronto, Canada

Process

The process began with an initial phone call.

Next was a remote coding test with one of their engineers. You had to turn the camera on so they could see you.

It was evident the interviewer was bored with the job and eager to end the call. They likely followed company guidelines to monitor your progress, asking about your thought process and actions. In reality, they didn't seem to care. As soon as the code was finished, they hung up.

Following this, HR called for a 'Life Story' phone interview. Aside from the name, there was nothing new compared to a typical HR interview. The interviewer was more than twenty minutes late for the scheduled call.

Subsequently, like many others, I was ghosted. I followed up with an email inquiring about the status, but received no reply.

The coding test was very easy, and the interviewer mentioned it was a pass/fail assessment. I passed, but it didn't help; they still ghosted me.
