Pros: - Lot of trust in each other.
- Room to be what you want to be.
- Tons of technical challenges.
Cons: If you do not like Ruby/Rails, that is not the place.

Pros: Compensation package is good (for now).
Cons: It's a company based on a personal cult around the CEO, who is a micromanagement control freak. The new senior management team also has the same style. It's detrimental to the long-term development of the company.
Benefits had been diminished since going "digital by default" (working remotely forever). The latest massive layoffs were handled very amateurishly. Good luck to those who were spared; it would be a heck of a job trying to pick up the work after all the good developers were let go.

Pros: Worked at Shopify in 2022 when the stock crashed. Loved my colleagues and the work; remote is a plus.
Cons: Lots of uncertainty due to the stock crash. Compensation was lacking compared to other companies, with no adjustment made due to the crash.
