I applied for this position through my university in the spring of 2009.
I secured an interview, which was one-on-one with an experienced engineer who was also the hiring manager for the position.
This individual was an exceptional conversationalist, and I felt comfortable discussing my accomplishments with him. He also answered all the questions I had.
Unfortunately, I did not get the position. However, my feeling is that they were looking for the absolute top students.

Each of the managers is overloaded with work for work's sake.
