I have attended two technical rounds and cleared both. I felt I performed well in both.
Then came the managerial round, which I believe also went well and lasted for more than an hour.
The manager mentioned that HR would contact me. However, I haven't received a call from HR. I called them myself to inquire about the feedback.
I received feedback indicating that I did not clear the managerial round. The HR representative stated that, unlike technical rounds where rejections are uncommon, I was an exception.
I suspect they may not want to offer a higher salary and are simply using this as a reason. This is the second time I have faced a similar issue at Siemens. If you are not interested in a candidate, please do not waste their time by proceeding further.
