Pros: Well-structured and involved projects, allowing you to take real responsibility on real projects as an intern instead of wasting time on a project that will never see the light of day.
Cons: Sometimes the management tasks of a project get a little tiresome. Submitting, reviewing, and amending code happens more often than writing new code.
