I was an employee of Siemens Technology and Services, Pune. Please don't get confused with the jazzy Siemens office you see at Balewadi High Street; it's Siemens PLM, a separate vertical of Siemens. Please check it beforehand, else you might end up landing at a place that is not even okay to be considered an office for an IT company.
The office building is not up to the mark; it's a pungent-smelling place with just 3 floors and a serious space crunch.
There is no cafeteria, only a pantry for tea/coffee. The eating space for lunch makes us feel like we are daily-wage factory workers who eat there on a rooftop covered with a raw-constructed shade. It's so hot in summers that eating your lunch is a challenge in itself.
Pathetic work culture. If you lend a helping hand to someone, the management makes sure you do the whole work and ruin your personal life.
It doesn't matter how hard you work; management makes sure you'll never be appreciated for it.
The work culture is too toxic. There is a lot of hue and cry for issues that are not so relevant, and too much pressure to complete the tasks.
Resource management is one of a kind. You are allocated 50% in two different teams, and the teams are being told you are 100% allocated, so the employees end up working 200%.
The tech stack is good, but the mindset of people is adamant. They are not ready to follow best practices and are reluctant for a change. If you are a technology enthusiast, please refrain from joining such a place.
Management is making fake promises all the time. Please don't believe in any of the lollipops given to you.
There are a bunch of people in the company who are settled here because they have been bootlicking their managers and are good for nothing.
THIS IS A SERVICE-BASED COMPANY; PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU AREN'T INTIMIDATED BY THE NAME.
There is the concept of on-site where the person sitting there treats you like slaves. Your peers sitting at different locations in the world will do 10% of the work you do, and if you raise a concern, you'll be told this is something we cannot change. It gives a very bad impact and a lot of demotivation.
Managers here have served in the service-based industry for 10+ years, so they bring along with them all the bad parts which don't align with the culture of Siemens. Too much micromanagement.
There are no aligned processes for administrative work. HR teams will not even send sweets on Diwali. I saw my friends struggling with laptop courier issues as well.
During the pandemic, the organization showed its true colors and made us work like machines with no emotions: wake-up, work, and sleep. Never did anyone take pains to ask how you were doing, and no concerns about the well-being of employees as well.
Please have a check at your senior management and the quality of employees you have, because some of them make all the others suffer.
Please have a look at the company culture and stop this disparity between the folks working from India and working from other geographical locations.
