Managers and co-workers are always supportive of a young person working in the company. Managers are always happy to help you advance your career. My managers never tried to "trap me" and keep me in one position.
Big companies naturally move a bit slower. They are less nimble when new ideas come around. The only way to move up in the company is to move out and then move back in.
Create a little more vertical mobility.
