Pros

The Glasgow site has a great culture.

Fantastic teams to work with.

Lots of flexibility to do what you like, how you like, allowing everyone to contribute most efficiently to develop great ideas.

Also, a starting PTO allotment of 4 weeks (plus the 9 company holidays and 2 personal holidays) will get you pretty spoiled.

Cons

They severely underpay engineers.

Since the site was purchased by Siemens, upper management has been driving the culture and quality of R&D downhill.

They say the words but then tie our hands.

Advice to Management

Upper Management:

Actually listen to the experienced people in your workforce. Not the loudest people, mind you, or those physically located closest to you, but the most knowledgeable.

Focus on learning about a given subject before passing mandates on it, making irrational promises, or blindly throwing large chunks of money into it.
