Process

The interview process is quite different compared to others. I reached Round 3.

A 1-on-1 coding round involved writing and running two SQL statements via code. This was the third round.

During the third round, the interviewer's microphone was not working, causing a delay of around 10 minutes. This time was not extended to the entire process. The interviewer seemed confused about what to ask, and I had to assume many things during the interview.

I suggest it might be better not to attempt this if you have a strong background in a tech stack and projects. Asking for SQL in a coding round is quite unusual. I was under the assumption that I had to solve a coding problem using data, but it was completely SQL-oriented, which I didn't like much.

Perhaps it's a very good evaluation process that I was unable to digest :)

Round 1: HR connect on what projects we have worked on and a brief about the organization.

Round 2: Engineering Manager round on projects and work done. This included a system design question. I was asked to design an API for employee name suggestions, which can be used in chat with the '@' symbol, and how to scale it.

Round 3: Connect to an SQLite database and write queries using the provided database, then run those via code.
