Technical Architect Interview Experience - Seattle, Washington

Process

The process was very well documented and supported by the recruiting team. I had a coach and cheerleader from our initial conversation through signing the offer and starting the onboarding phase.

My interview loop included the following:

  • Initial screen with the recruiter: intros and soft questions from both of us about the role and my background.
  • Team screen with the hiring manager: a deep dive into both my experience (technical and non-technical) and the role I was interviewing for.
  • A take-home project/presentation to showcase technical and customer-facing skills applicable to the role. This was well-defined, and I was given a loose timeline of approximately two weeks to finish.
  • A final presentation with the hiring manager and another manager, including a resume deep dive and presenting the take-home project/presentation.

Questions

High-level:

  • Build a Slack bot/app.
  • Create a pseudo-customer-facing presentation to showcase my background and project.
