I was contacted by the recruiting agent and met with her first to learn more about the company. This was more of a preliminary conversation to determine from both aspects (mine & Slalom's) if this was a good fit.

The "fit" piece is important to stress because they value bringing in folks who are not just a laundry list of skill sets, but also an ideal blend into the culture.

After that, I had my first phone call, then a face-to-face meeting with my soon-to-be manager, and then (for my role) a case study presentation.

The presentation was, personally, an exciting opportunity for me since I never conducted one before as part of the hiring process. It was a great opportunity to meet other members of the team and a good exercise outside of normal Q&A style sessions with technical resources.
