I applied online and heard back pretty quickly. I set up a phone screen with an engineer within a few days of applying online.
I was disappointed though; the interviewer asked me a question that he didn't actually know the answer to. I was asked to deep clone a popular data structure. I argued that I could do this in one pass through, while the interviewer said it was impossible to do so. He told me I couldn't deep clone it in just one pass through. When I pushed back on it, he reiterated that I couldn't do it and that I had to approach it a different way.
The interviewer actually ended up wasting my time by forcing me to do an inefficient solution. If your interviewers are going to ask random data structure and algorithm questions, at least know the real answer.
