Trainee Software Engineer Interview Experience - India

November 1, 2014
Positive ExperienceGot Offer

Process

The first round consisted of Aptitude, Verbal, and Technical sections. Five options were given to choose the Technical section: C, C++ and Networking, C++ and Data Structures, Java, and Oracle PL/SQL.

The first round was a little tougher.

Then, they had three rounds of interviews (Technical, Managerial, and HR) for the shortlisted candidates. They filtered candidates in each round of interview. Seven people attended the HR round. Finally, they recruited three people, and I am one among them.

Questions

They concentrated mainly on C, C++, Projects, and your Area of Interest. To name a few, what is meant by Segmentation fault, Memory leak, Dynamic binding, and Function pointer? They asked about the projects in detail. Also, they asked me to write some simple codes to test programming efficiency. The Managerial and HR rounds were more general and nothing specific. Questions were only from the resume. Be confident and keep smiling throughout the process. Wish you good luck :-)
