They don't respect their candidates; don't apply.

I applied online and had a phone screening with one of their HR. Later, they sent me a take-home assignment and asked me to finish it in one week. I completed and submitted the assignment in less than a week.

However, after that, there was no response. I sent follow-up emails but got completely ignored. Such a waste of my time.

Pros: Stash was once a great place to work with a real focus on doing right by their customers. It was also at one time full of really smart and fun people.

Cons: The company has lost their focus on the customer and built a lot of things that aren’t core competencies. They’ve laid off most of their talented workforce in a series of layoffs (but we’re family!) with a joke for severance. They’ve brought in management from other failed companies, and now those people are just hiring their friends. There is absolutely no focus on good or healthy software. Make no doubt, this company is being scrapped for parts.

Pros: Flexible PTO, remote work from home, and some stipends and benefits for work at home and travel.

Cons: Terrible management structure, and told directly that nothing can be done to fix gaps in the discovery process or requirements gathering for new developments. There is no engineering leadership to ensure teams stay compliant, and development is a wild west of infrastructure. There is no clear vision towards growing the company. There is no clear path for personal growth as positions are limited and the org structure was re-flattened.

There is no clear path for personal growth as positions are limited and the org structure was re-flattened.
