Unlimited PTO and fully remote are good.
I’m sure it is all said and I can’t put it into better words, but it is all true. If you are thinking of working here, don’t ignore these reviews. In the end, my mental wellbeing was in the trash. The culture is not one to praise. People are very quick to blame and will keep a name-mentioning spree of about 20 names before someone finally takes accountability. Everyone is quick to throw each other under the bus instead of actually doing right and doing their job description.
Management who may be feeling the pressure feed this into the team with unrealistic deadlines. I’ve been through 3 managers because of this layoff spree, and I can say they are inexperienced and the lack of consideration or care during work hours shows. Diversity and Inclusion are just buzzwords being used to appease the employees. Every week we are given the motivational speech about how much we are better than our peers in the market for the mission. This is a psychological play because they don’t care about the mission at all.
Don’t fall for it; the customer will be fine elsewhere, and you should save yourself. Customers are leaving and instead of listening, admitting fault, being customer-led, and perhaps going back to what made Stash great. The app has become even worse with rebranding.
The people who know this app inside out are gone. The people who wake up and fix incidents uncompensated are gone. The people who are remaining have lost hope and are ready to go. There’s a scary portion who believe their own lies that things will improve. You don’t need to be working next to that type of delusion.
It’s clear leadership can hold this company together between up to 10 of themselves which must be why they are behaving this way. If everyone decided to run away from the company there’s nothing you can do. Be careful with how you treat people helping you build this vision.
8-hour interview, easy LC question, but I froze hard. Did well on everything else. Asked the HR guy who interviewed me how he likes working at Stash. He gave me a dead stare for a minute, then huffed, puffed, and said, "It's okay." 8-hour interview
I was contacted by a recruiter via email, then we hopped on a quick call. We scheduled a 30-minute call to talk about the role and basic stuff. After that, we scheduled a technical call/screening with their FE Developer. He was an awesome person to
After a phone interview, I was given a fairly difficult and time-consuming take-home test. After implementing an iOS app with the required features, I was brought onsite and had three interviews. These interviews included general iOS questions, archi
