Applied online for a Backend / API Engineer position. Quickly received an email from a recruiter requesting a chat. Scheduled and had a call with the recruiter. Proceeded to the next step, which was a live coding interview over Zoom. This involved coding a very simple and constrained database/heap type of structure/function, and different iterations on it, building in functionality and requirements.
Basically, the tests were provided, and I had to code the solution so the tests would pass. I solved all the problems, and the interviewer seemed satisfied with the solutions. We also talked about the position, work, and the tech stack.
Shortly after, I got a generic rejection email about the position.
