HR staff are very helpful, nice, and go above and beyond. However, the interviewer is not and is pretty bad. Tell the candidate what to expect, time-wise, or whatever. Do you want to hear thoughts, or do you just want some code?
Please, please, please tell your interviewers to treat candidates nicely, or at least have some structure to let the interviewer do so. Candidates need a good idea of what's happening during the interview.
