Process
Skype phone interview.
The structure was:
- 3-4 minutes of introduction.
- Straight into one coding exercise.
- Then you could ask as many questions as you liked to the interviewer (who was nice).
Questions
Write a function (int[]) -> int that returns the lowest unassigned integer. For example:
[] -> 1 (empty set) [1] -> 2 [5, 3, 1] -> 2
Basically, sort the array, then iterate and compare the current element to the previous one. If there is a gap, then that's your number.

Pros: A glass door is making me fill this out to see reviews for another job. Stripe had smart people and a product that was obviously doing well.
Cons: Very little work-life balance. Software engineers do a lot of product management because of how complex the product is. Product leadership is poor. They'll regularly throw 400 people at a project only to kill it a year later.
