Pros: Pay, benefits (though they’ve been nerfed recently), remote flexibility, interesting and challenging work, and high potential for impact. I do adore most of my peers, and they teach me a lot. I’m better because of the quality of other Stripes.
Cons: Priorities do seem to change a lot. Politics can be a bit annoying from the exec and MoMs. On-call rotations can be annoying. All the drama around liquidity events and when I'll be able to sell stock, etc., etc., is less than desirable.
Hate the performance review process, but I don't know of a solution.

Pros: The most important part of a job for me is the people. Work is where we spend the majority of our waking hours, and if the people at your workplace aren't positive and helpful, your life really suffers.
My experience is that Stripe takes care in hiring good people that care about their work and treat each other with kindness. There's a buzzy energy about the place—lots of things are going on.
Cons: The development environment can be slow at times, but this is the natural result of fast growth, and management is highly focused on addressing this issue.

Pros: The pay is above average currently.
Cons: The goalpost is moved within their performance-based metrics. This change, whenever Stripe seems fit, will place you in an underperforming designation, leaving you disadvantaged and potentially unemployed.
