Pros

Still a lot of awesome people working there. They can pull off amazing sprints of effort, changing the company.

Cons

Constitutionally incapable of running a marathon.

Culture cracked like an egg with the influx of rapid hiring.

Lack of trust and bad politics are a norm.

Unhealthy on-call culture.

"Stripe is for optimists" is a toxic shadow principle that drives much of the above.

Advice to Management

Stop re-orging every other week. Reward the honest, pragmatic purveyors of bad news.
