If you are coming from
Stop forcing people to drink the Stripe Kool-Aid. At the end of the day, you are a payment processor, not a SaaS/BaaS/whatever provider.
Additionally, if you want your merchants to be successful, stop charging them to leverage your professional services.
Also, get training for your leaders, specifically those who are new to leadership. You will not be able to attract and retain quality talent with middle managers who defer to gimmicky self-help books as leadership tools.
Unfortunately, the candidate experience was disappointing. After applying and having initial contact with a recruiter, communication stopped entirely—even after polite follow-up emails. There was no update or closure, which reflects poorly on Stripe
It went pretty good, but I was a bit in a hurry since they had already made offers. As a billing specialist, the manager was cool and from the U.S. The atmosphere was easy-going, with a Silicon Valley culture.
The interview follows an Amazon-style process, starting with recruiter screening, followed by a hiring manager interview, a take-home project, three rounds of peer interviews/assessments, and a final interview with management. It is quite intensive
