I had a very weird experience with Target. I was interviewed during a university recruiting event. I was graduating that semester with a Bachelor's business degree.
After the first round of interviews, I was directly taken into a second round interview where I met with the district manager and the district HR manager. During the interview, everything went really well. Salary, benefits, and store placement were discussed.
Afterwards, I interviewed with the store manager. It was suggested that I work at Target to get familiar with the culture until the store I was supposed to work at opened.
This is where things went very wrong. Basically, long story short, another internal applicant was interested in the position as well. They ended up getting it over me, but I was never directly told. I was ultimately offered a cashier position instead of the ETL role I was brought in for.
Tell me about a time you tried something and failed.
